Overview: The Jackson Hole Community Counseling Center has completed construction of a 9000 SF mental health facility at 640 Easy Broadway to house all of our operations for years to come. Our campaign has raised $2 million towards our goal of $3.7 million and now we need your help! In order to provide essential mental health services in our community, we must raise additional funds to ensure uninterrupted services to all in need.

2008 Climb Dates: First Climb -Tuesday May 29th –Last Climb, Monday September 3rd Last Climb Snow King Mountain, Jackson, Wyoming (Snow King Resort)

How You Can Help: Climb,Hike, Bike, and Run up the King as many times as possible!Get in great shape and help a great cause.

Recruit Others to Participate: Recruit your friends, family Co-workers to climb! Its fun, it’s relaxing and it’s beautiful on the King!  Our 2008 goal is 500 climbers and 5,000 climbs.

Make a Donation/Pledge: Make a pledge in support of yourself, another Climber or the groups cumulative Climbs. Every $ Helps!

Solicit Pledges: Challenge yourself to raise money to help this vital effort: talk to family, friends, co-workers, anyone who cares in helping others.

Why Climb?: Jackson Hole Community Counseling Center has been the designated mental health care provider in Teton County since 1974 and we need your help to raise awareness of mental health in our community, it’s great exercise & it’s fun, and it helps us to raise badly needed funds to pay for our new facility.

T-Shirts, Caps, Bumper stickers, etc.:   Each registered climber receives an official Climb T-Shirt and bracelet. Please have and display a Climb marketing item each time you climb Snow King Mountain as well as a chair lift voucher - This is how the Snow King Staff will recognize you as a participant in the Climb and allow you to have a free chairlift ride down. Failure to have a Climb marketing item with you will result in a $2 charge to ride down the hill

Weather & Safety: Safety is our number 1 priority. If bad weather is imminent, please do not begin to climb. If you are on the Mountain please begin down immediately or seek temporary cover. The chairlift will stop running during all threatening weather. If you see the chair is not running, please head down the mountain. We need all climbers to stay safe and healthy to help achieve our goals!

Clothing, Footwear & Fluids: Please dress appropriately for all conditions on Snow King Mountain. Often times storms can come in quickly, rides down can be chilly & windy, and proper footwear is essential. Remember to drink lots of fluids as well!

Track Your Climbs: Track your own climbs, and see how the Climb 2008 is going by logging on at www.climbtheking.org

Fundraising: For those interested in helping to raise money for this important project, you may sign up sponsors for your own climbs or sponsor someone else. Its easy, just go to www.climbtheking.org. Climbers can raise funds either for their personal ascents or the group’s collective climbs. i.e. John climbs 50 times and receives $5 from Aunt Joan per climb, thus JHCCC would receive 50 x $5 = $250 or Aunt Joan pledges $.25 for the group’s collective climbs, thus JHCCC would receive $.25 x 1000 = $ 250 Many thanks to those willing to help with fundraising!
